Baked Mozzarella

Baked Mozzarella

No one will ever miss baked brie if you serve up this work of art. Bare minimum effort reaps glowing reviews. Every single time.

Stress Scale: ✅ | Prep time: 5 min | Total time: 30 min | Servings: 4-6

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed (I used good ol’ Pepperidge Farms)

  • ¼ cup raspberry jam

  • 1 package Miyoko’s vegan mozz

  • 1 T water

  • 3 pears or apples, sliced

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Roll out puff pastry. Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

  3. Spread jam in center of the pastry (just in the center, no need to aim for the edges).

  4. Place cheese wheel on top of jam.

  5. Fold up corners of pastry. Attempt to pinch some sort of a seal. Don’t worry if this doesn’t look perfect, you may actually prefer the blossoming flower look that an imperfect seal will create.

  6. Brush the top with water.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.

  8. Enjoy with sliced pears or apples. Or just cut and serve with a fork. For real.

TIP: If raspberry isn’t your jam, feel free to sub in another flavor.
