Been looking for an authentic fish taste without the fish? Gardein fishless filets are the single most genuine tasting vegan meat on the market.
Stress Scale: ✅ | Prep time: 15 min | Total time: 35 min | Servings: 2-3
INGREDIENTS:
1 package Gardein fishless filets
½ cup Zatarain’s Seasoned Fish Fri seafood breading
¼ cup water
Cooking spray
For the tartar sauce:
1/3 cup mayo
2 ½ t sweet relish
1 t mustard
1 t lemon juice

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray.
Remove filets from freezer. Let sit out for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix all tartar sauce ingredients in small bowl. Refrigerate.
Mix seafood breading and water in small bowl. Channel your inner kindergartener, we are going for a paste-like texture.
Press a thin layer of this mixture onto each filet (top and bottom).
Place battered filets on baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes. Flip over filets after 10 minutes.
Remove filets from oven, sauce from fridge. Dive in!
TIP: This particular seafood breading packs quite a kick, so even a thin layer of breading will yield some real oomph. A thicker layer will indeed yield a spicier experience but will also drown out the fish flavor.
