Veganuary
We owe a lot to the Brits. The bicycle, Boolean algebra, lava lamps, fish & chips, the Spice Girls. And now – Veganuary!
No, I haven’t been hitting the sauce. This is a real campaign to inspire folks to pledge to go vegan for the month of January (and beyond).
Haven’t heard of it? That’s ok. Folks in the US are just getting the word thanks to celeb endorsers like Joaquin Phoenix (The Joker!) and everyone’s favorite Clueless spoiled brat turned vegan goddess Alicia Silverstone.
And since we are now neck deep in February, I suppose it is a bit late to sign up now. But the messages are still important. What are those messages, you ask? (Forgive me Veganuary organizers, I am taking some interpretive liberties here.)
Try veganism for a bit! A little is better than none at all!
Help drive change at the corporate level
Create a global movement
Save the world
So this blog missed the proverbial boat for Veganuary 2020, but those goals seem pretty spot on. Anyone for Februveganary? Bueller? Bueller?*
*Youngster, are you a bit confused by this reference? Please go watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It’s on Netflix. Thank me later.
